Cuauhtémoc mayor accuses predecessors of corruption, impunity

The newly elected mayor of the central Mexico City borough of Cuauhtémoc, Alessandra Rojo de la Vega, has accused three of her predecessors, including the high profile Sandra Cuevas and Ricardo Monreal, the current Morena Party Coordinator in the Chamber of Deputies, of corruption and impunity while in office. She cites the alleged loss of official records, so-called “avatar” workers, unpaid city fines, and misuse of Covid-19 supplies. Read more at Proceso.
