Cuauhtémoc mayor decries death threats

Cuauhtémoc’s mayor, Alessandra Rojo de la Vega, has denounced death threats sent to her anonymously in the wake of reforms she has introduced to the central Mexico City municipality. The mayor’s reforms include the scrapping of clandestine garbage dumps and clamping down on groups illicitly charging for the use of city roads. She has appealed to the Mexico City’s prosecutor’s office to investigate. Read more at El Financiero.
