Morena leaders speak on Cuauhtémoc Blanco sex assault charges

Two powerful Morena Party congressmen, Ricardo Monreal and Adán Augusto, have said the party will not “protect” Cuauhtémoc Blanco. Blanco is a current congressman and former Governor of Morelos, who faces allegations of sexually assaulting his half-sister. The party leaders also maintained that Blanco has a right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. Lik all federal lawmakers, Blanco enjoys immunity from prosecution.
