Sheinbaum spotlights drug bust successes

President Claudia Sheinbaum announced that the Mexican government has seized 90 tons of drugs from raids on various clandestine labs between 1 October 2024 and 26 January 2025. She also announced the arrest of roughly 10,000 suspects relating to “high impact” crimes, while claiming a 27% reduction in intentional homicides, a figure which could not be verified independently.
