State Dept designates first cartels as terrorist groups

The US State Department has drawn up a list of Mexican organized crime groups which it will designated as terrorist groups. The initial designations will go to the Sinaloa Cartel, the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, the Gulf Cartel, the Northeast Cartel, and the Michoacan Family. Read more at The New York Times.
