Trump threatens sanctions, new tariffs on Mexico over water
President Trump has threatened additional tariffs and even sanctions on Mexico in the face of a water dispute between the US and Mexico. Trump, alongside state and local officials in Texas, claim Mexico is not keeping up its obligations under the terms of a 1944 treaty that governs sharing of the Colorado River’s resources between the two nations.
