Trump threatens sanctions, new tariffs on Mexico over water

President Trump has threatened additional tariffs and even sanctions on Mexico in the face of a water dispute between the US and Mexico. Trump, alongside state and local officials in Texas, claim Mexico is not keeping up its obligations under the terms of a 1944 treaty that governs sharing of the Colorado River’s resources between the two nations. Mexico says it has fulfilled its obligations to the extent that it can, but points to persistent drought conditions preventing it from full compliance. Read more at Reuters.
